Due to the high level of spammers trying to get in here, all registrations are held in limbo until I review your username, email address and IP address.
That means no one outside of Canada gets approved so be careful if you use a VPN to register.
I apologize for any delays of those who are legit users looking to join our community. If you aren't allowed in after 48 hours, you are welcome to contact me. However, these forums are reserved for local paid Advertisers and potential customers of those advertisers, so I will need to know what your interest is for signing up.

Well, that only works if the Warden isn't more insane than the inmates.

I've had 7 new user signups just from the time of my original post. All of them spammers. Most of them using a Russian IP.
Some of them use fake email accounts so I don't even need to look at their incomplete registrations. I just flush them all after a month.

I'm just lucky I run a local site because if this thing was International, I wouldn't be hosting a discussion board. lol

I don't get a lot of Russian IPs any more at the board I run. Even ones that are obviously Russian from other evidence often come from other countries, presumably using proxies or VPNs. I had a run on Vietnam. There's even a couple hosting companies in the States that I was getting a lot of spammers from for a while. I'm guessing they were hacked or something.

Yep, I get those Vietnam IP's as well. They tend to come in waves.

Just an update, I am getting hammered by spammers right now. This tends to happen in waves.

I can't spend all day looking up IP addresses, so I am deleting any account that looks like a spammer as compared to previous spammer IP addresses and emails.
If I accidentally delete a legit registration, please let me know.
I always ignore IP addresses that are not Canadian so be careful if you use a VPN.
