Holy shit!

This is a HUGE victory! The Federal Government and law enforcement has a real problem now.
How sad that only deep pockets gets you justice.
Megan Walker is going to have a stroke.

Doesn't appear so.

Ontario court decision re Anwar/Harvey that action is unconstitutional and not justified relates only for the purpose of this specific case. No formal declaration of no force and effect. It does not change the law overall and 286.1 (sex purchasing law) was not part of decision

It may only relate to this specific case, but it does set a precedent in law which can be used in future court cases. It gives lawyers a whole lot more to work with. Once the egg starts cracking, it gets much easier to break it open.

It only really provides any future arguments for an agency owner, it doesn't address anything related to the purchase of services. An even then, it's the bottom level of court as well. Who knows if this gets appealed any higher. It's going to take a convicted client taking it up the chain of courts to have any real effect for any of us.

A 46 year old London man has been charged with procurement for sexual services after he posted an ad for a job which turned out to be for escort work. I guess the recent court decision does not concern the police.
