If I may offer an opinion the Homewood Suites across from the Hampton is great, it offers full Hilton amenities as well as the breakfast and something called "welcome home" sort of a light dinner for those who arrive and need a light meal instead of going out. To check the offering of the day just check the menu calender posted on the refrigerator in the kitchen. Oh did I forget to mention the kitchen with full fridge, stove, microwave and dish washer. It also has a small dining table for 2 and a sitting room with couch and easy chairs. The bedroom is typical Hilton beds with the plasma tv to match the one in the main room. Got this for $120.00 per night, not a bad deal. It does however due to the nature of the hotel draw the "family set" but there should be no real problem of keeping a low profile as there are entrances that can be used that do not involve the main lobby and front door.

Just noticed something on LFP Frugal Fridays....they have half price gift certificates for the Comfort Inn in St. Thomas. Might be of interest to sp's and clients.

Hi all!

I have a great little hot spot that IMHO has been my best experience so far here in London.
(I have been coming here for over twenty years when dancing, escorting or just a nice litle vaca from time to time).

The Staybridge Suites on Exeter (right beside Hampton Inn)..
If you go online to book you can get a suit room for $99 If not, then it runs $108 (pls txs).

Amenities

Lrg Living room area
Kitchen ~ Lrg Fridge, Microwave, dishwasher, stove (burners)
All dishes, pots and pans etc...
Separate Lrg bedroom (like the Quality Suites)
Wireless Internet
Gym
Pool
laundry room

Food
Free FULL BREAKFAST BUFFET (not continental, they have it ALL!)
Monday ~ Wednesday FREE DINNER ON PATIO (usually bbq, taco's etc)

Of course I wish I could stay there each and every time that I come to London but we must travel around ....

Hi~ Ho, Hi~ Ho

Sweet Sam,
Ramada Inn is a good hotel. Located conveniently close to the 401. The rooms are not big, but very clean. Most have two queens, but I think they also have a king bed room.
If you have specific questions, just PM me.

I did stay at the Ramada!! Months ago
It's fairly "old school" very discreet no cameras or front lobby entry needed!!

The rooms were tacky, but clean, the outside cleanliness of the hotel is lacking (beer bottles, cigars,...)

The maids were amazing, as long as you give them praise and be friendly they leave you alone!!

It's a very down to earth atmosphere there, and cheap! With high speed internet of course! about 74$ with tax a night.

it's not pretty but it gets the job done!

Stayed at the Ramada before, was quiet and clean and inexpensive, I didn't mind the decor. Was 65 dollars per night but a little more on the weekend. Booked through hotels.co m.

Recently, booked the Howard Johnson but could not find it on Wellington, apparently it has been turned into a Knight's Inn now. There is another Howard Johnson on Exeter West of Wellington, which seems to be on its way out of business, most of the rooms were vacant. Decor was quite bad, especially the choice of bedspread which was second worse I've seen. It had the best price on Hotels.co m ($62) but I would not choose to stay there again as its just a little bit sad to see a place that is dying. One good thing though is it is right next to a new restaurant that is very good THE GREAT CANADIAN STEAKHOUSE. A fine meal indeed, nice caesar salad, prime rib, red wine, had a good sleep afterwords.

Both have unlimited local calls and free wireless. I was calling escort numbers all night every night!

Can anyone update the Hotel list with prices? (This thread was started 3 years ago). I'm specifically interested in the Short Stay places/prices, as I rarely stay overnight in London, but do pass by a fair amount. TIA.
