Default New Prescription - no Doctor

Anyone have experience with such a situation?

When one does not have a doctor because the doctor is on a medical leave of absence himself, how likely is a walk-in clinic or emergency dept to write a new prescription for something like cialis? Not a renewal but new prescription?

Anyone been through something like this? Success? Failure? Obviously it's not life or death but, something I am curious about.

I'm pretty sure that there is legislation in Ontario that requires doctors to provide their patients with alternative care givers if they are unavailable. I'm not sure if these alternatives include emergency rooms.

Thanks adverb. My Doc has been unable to line up a substitute. Local alternatives become emerg or walk in clinics. Local health unit also confirms this.

I don't mind going to either to get this Rx but, not if I'm going to wait hours just to be told no they won't write a script for this particular med.

You can also buy this online as well with out a prescription. I have a reliable website I have bought it from. They sell the generic stuff and the real deal as well. The only downside is it takes about 2-3 weeks to get it and they dont seem to be able to ship to Canada. I had mine shipped to a shipping depot in Port Huron with no problems. I will provide the info through PM if anyone is interested.

This is a topic that is discussed somewhat regularly on terb. The concensus there is you'll have no problem getting the 'script filled at a walk-in clinic.

Agreed. Any walk in clinic, especially if you explain the situation, won't have a problem writing a script. The only thing they may do is limit or put no repeats on it but that's something you can discuss with the doctor.

Thanks for the input gents.

I checked out terb as PNG suggested, lots of threads there, most actually informative. I suggest anyone with similar questions/issues check them out. Maybe we should get similar threads going on EC too. As a matter of fact, I started one here: www.erotic-canada.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22957

I think I'm going to try the clinic route.
